Issues thelaramieprojectproject cares about:
thelaramieprojectproject’s has joined the community because:
The LPP is a group of high school thespians (Troupe 5480) whose goal is to honor the 49 victims of the Pulse Night Club shooting by mounting 49 productions of The Laramie Project, a play about the hate crime that took gay University of Wyoming Student Matthew Shepard's life. The play consists of interviews of the people of the town conducted by The Tectonic Theatre Company. By promoting this play, we aim to raise awareness of anti-LGBTQ hate crimes and encourage, as the play puts it, "peace, love, and compassion." As a student, I believe young people have the power to use our tools to make a difference. As an artist, I believe it's my job to SAY SOMETHING about the world.
